The problem with older Spinners is that the tie-down knob isn’t captured-it’s just a fastener threaded into the bottom plate. Loosen it one turn too many, drop your camera to spin it for access, and the knob unscrews itself into oblivion. The UPGRADED Spinner Bottom Plate with Captured Tie Down swaps your existing bottom plate for one with an integrated E-clip retainer mechanism. The knob is permanently secured to the plate-it can rotate freely for tightening and loosening, but it cannot fall out, get lost, or need replacing. Ever.

Do I need this if I already have a Spinner?
Only if your Spinner shipped before February 2026. After that date, we integrated this feature into the standard Spinner. Not sure? Email us with your order date and we’ll tell you.
Will this work with my current QRB and setup?
Yes, completely. Everything mounts the same way. Just swap the bottom plate and you’re good to go.
What if I lose the knob after installing this?
You won’t. The E-clip retainer keeps it captured to the plate permanently. That’s the whole point.
Can I install this myself?
Absolutely. Same as mounting the Spinner originally-five minutes with a wrench. The installation videowalks you through it.
