Quick Release Base (QRB)

When I started to 1st AC, I was in desperate need of an efficient quick release system. After researching, I decided on Clean’s Quick Release Base. It is by far the best QRB I’ve used. I’ve used them in various orientations, holding all kinds of camera builds. Now that I am starting to cam op more than AC, I still find reasons to use these QRBs. They fit perfectly on my old Technovision Head — a mod that makes it now function more like the Arrihead. As a business, Clean’s Camera Support, has been kind, helpful, and professional throughout my career. If I had a question, I received a speedy email response starting with “Howdy” and all the answers. Needless to say, I have no more questions, just orders!

Cleans Pink RBQ was the best RBQ I've ever own. I helped David launch the Pink RBQ campaign when I initially inquired him about anodizing mine pink and it required a lot of effort & the community to go in on the color. It was absolutely worth it! People are now purchasing the Pink RBQ and are rocking it on set! Unfortunately my beautiful Pink RBQ was stolen from me this year but I absolutely plan on owning one of these again someday! This RBQ was so reliable that I trusted it with any camera rig configuration possible. Anytime I used it on set - everyone was always complimenting the color and the features of the RBQ. Every AC needs an RBQ plate at some point, so you might as well buy one you like to look at. I bought Clean's QRB because of the price, quality, and color options. When I started ACing a few of my AC friends highly recommended Clean's products. I have a black and orange theme with my film gear so it was a no-brainer to buy the orange QRB and matching Mitchell plate. The quality is top-notch and the anodized metal is done very well and the color is vibrant. The pricing is also very reasonable compared to other RBQ plates and they work just as well. So I can't recommend them enough and have been very happy with my long-term gear investment.

THIS PLATE HAS SOME SERIOUS ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED! The problems started on my camera immediately after I added this plate. As soon as my camera started every other camera on set though it would be a good idea to get one and they're all hooked and there's nothing we can do about this monstrosity!!! Every DP I've worked with has mentioned this plate and it just won't stop! Somebody help! From Day 1 of usage it just can't stop smoking it's cigar on set. All day, all night. There's no stopping it. See pic attached. I've heard that there's 8 different flavors now? What are they trying to get us buy more? Do you know how hard it is the choose? Back in my day we'd just simply unbolt a simple pair god damn bolts and times were simpler. No one saw them, The colors didn't matter. If you picked up the wrong camera then it was an easy matter of just communicating to every other camera member. If the bolts got stripped from your flat head you'd just get make sure you had a a backup set. Simple. We all had a spare bolt extraction set for those really old bolts and it's such as shame to have that skill lost as the new youth's buy into this sort of crap. This plate even puts people out of the job, Do you know how many bolt makers have gone bankrupt from this? This new fan-dangled plate is the bane of my existence. We used to only do a few setups a day but oh no! Now they want us to be "faster" or "more efficient". This thing literally reduces the amount of overtime you get paid. Worst investment I've ever made. 100% would not recommend it. Everyone in your team will get hooked on this nonsense. Be the better person. Stay safe. Don't buy this crap. I'm speaking from experience as I've already purchased 4 of them, once you start it's a slippery slope.

Solid piece of equipment that I know others have had for years, and holds up. David was great at keeping me in the loop with my order, and I got my quick release base just in time.
