Backstage Cart Umbrella Pin, $165 standalone
A proper umbrella pin for the Backstage TR-04. The expanding base locks into the round-tube post hole and doesn’t budge, no wobble, no drift, no umbrella slowly leaning over into the shot. Both reviewers landed on the same words without coordinating: “Simple, strong, and nicely finished.” One added: “I wish the umbrellas were as nice as this pin!” It’s the last umbrella pin you’ll need for a TR-04.

Backstage Cart Stand Hooks, $100 standalone
Gets yer monitor and Steadicam stands off the shelf and onto the lip of the cart. No tools, no drilling, no bungee cords. Heavy-duty steel, not the thin stuff Backstage ships with their carts. The hook slides over the flat lip shelf, yer stand hangs from it, and yer shelf has room for actual gear. One reviewer: “Simple and effective, due to the lack of tie downs on the bracket it doesn’t stick out and take up space on the shelf.” Another confirmed a perfect fit on a Magliner Jr shelf too.

Wheel Chock, $60 standalone
Wheel brakes on most camera carts lock enough to stop rolling but not enough to disengage cleanly, so pushing a braked cart creates drag. Chocks solve this properly. Wedge it under the wheel, cart stays put. Kick it out when yer ready to move. No drag, no residual friction, no cart slowly drifting into the talent between takes.

High-strength aluminum, two-sided, works with any pneumatic cart wheel, Backstage, Yaeger, Inovativ, Magliner, Camera Jimmy’s. Two sizes: 10″ fits standard pneumatic wheels on Backstage carts (this is the one most people need), 8″ for slightly smaller-diameter wheels. Does the umbrella pin fit all Backstage carts?
No, the expanding base is designed for the TR-04’s round-tube post. For Backstage TR-01, 02, 03 (square tubing) and TR-05 (angle stock), use the Almost Universal Umbrella Pin instead.

Which hook configuration should I choose, fold up or fold down?
Personal preference based on how you work yer cart. Check the gallery on the Backstage Cart Stand Hooks page, photos of both configurations mounted on a cart so you can see which makes more sense for yer setup.

Do the hooks fit non-Backstage carts?
They’re designed for the flat lip shelf on any Backstage TR-series cart. One reviewer confirmed they also fit the Magliner Jr shelf. Camera Jimmy’s carts fit with some persuasion due to a recent lip thickness change. Not designed for carts without a flat shelf lip.

My Mathews bolt seems too short, what do I do?
Add a note at checkout saying you have a Mathews stand and we’ll include a longer bolt at no charge.

The combo includes one wheel chock, should I get two?
Most ACs run one on each side of the front axle. Add a second Wheel Chockindividually to yer order if you want a pair.

Why not just use wheel brakes?
Wheel brakes create drag when you push a braked cart. Chocks block the wheel physically and release cleanly with a kick, no drag, no friction, no fighting the cart between setups.

Are all three pieces covered by the lifetime repair policy?
The pin and hooks are USA-machined and fully covered. The wheel chock is imported aluminum, not part of the machined repair program, but built to last.
