Here’s the thing about wheel brakes: they lock enough to prevent rolling but not enough to avoid drag. So yer cart either rolls or fights you. Neither is great.
Wheel chocks solve this properly. Wedge it under the wheel, camera stays put, and when yer ready to move, kick it out and go. No drag, no fuss, no cart slowly drifting into the talent.
High-strength aluminum, two-sided, works with any pneumatic cart wheel. At $60 a pop, they’re the cheapest upgrade on yer cart. (Imported, and we’re upfront about that.)
Which size do you need?
- 10″, fits Backstage and Yaeger carts with standard pneumatic wheels. This is the one most people need.
- 8″, slightly smaller for a snugger fit on smaller-diameter wheels. When in doubt, go 10″.
⚠️ Sold individually, not in pairs. Most people grab two.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which size should I get?
For Backstage and Yaeger Case Carts with standard pneumatic wheels, get the 10″. It’s the size most ACs and grips are running. The 8″ is for carts with slightly smaller-diameter wheels, if you’re not sure, go 10″ and you’ll be fine.
Are these sold in pairs?
No, sold individually. Most people order two, one for each side of the front axle. Add two to yer cart before checking out.
Why not just use wheel brakes?
Wheel brakes on most camera carts have a design problem: they lock enough to prevent rolling but not enough to fully disengage without creating drag. So when you push a braked cart it fights you. Chocks physically block the wheel from moving and release cleanly with a kick. No drag, no residual friction.
What carts do these work with?
Any cart with pneumatic (air-filled) wheels, Backstage, Yaeger Case Cart, Inovativ, Magliner, Camera Jimmy’s. If yer cart has pneumatic wheels, the chock works.
Are these USA-made?
These are imported, we note it on the page because we think transparency matters. They’re high-strength aluminum and built to last, but unlike our machined products they’re not made in the States.
Also for cart stability
- Yaeger Cart Pins, lock yer monitor pins so nothing spins while yer pushing.
- Yaeger Cart Stand Hooks, get yer stands off the shelf and onto the lip.
