The Mitchell Plate Adapter does one specific thing very well: it lets you mount a Clean’s QRB directly to a flat Mitchell plate. Same concept as a tie-down for a fluid head, but instead of securing a head, the raised groove locks into the bottom of the Mitchell plate and gives you a solid, stable base for the QRB to sit on. No fluid head in the equation, no workarounds, no stacking adapters.

If you’ve ever shown up to prep and the fluid head isn’t there, or you just don’t need one for the shot, this is what keeps the QRB in play. What does this replace?
On a standard fluid head setup, a tie-down bolt secures the head to the Mitchell plate. This adapter works on the same principle, it locks into the Mitchell plate’s raised groove, but instead of accepting a fluid head, it gives you a flat mounting surface for a Clean’s QRB. So you get the QRB mounted solidly to the plate without a head in between.

Does this work with bowl mounts?
No. This is designed specifically for flat Mitchell plate mounts. Bowl mounts have a different geometry and this adapter won’t seat correctly in them.

Which QRBs does this work with?
The standard QRB, the QRB-L (left-handed), and the Mini QRB. All three mount the same way.

Can I get this in a color other than black?
Black is what ships from stock. Custom anodized colors are available, email us before ordering and we’ll sort it out.

Is it covered by the lifetime repair policy?
Yes. USA-machined, send it back at any time and we’ll fix it at a modest price.

What’s the lead time?
